Trail Activies

The trail then borders the Canadian Forces Base on its way into Cold Lake South. Cold Lake’s Millennium Trail crosses the base road just as the Iron Horse Trail touches it. This paved walkway for non-motorized traffic proceeds to Cold Lake North, the Cold Lake Marina, and Cold Lake Provincial Park. Beyond this access point the Iron Horse Trail swings south and then east, skirting the edge of town until it reaches the Cold Lake staging area and the Highway 28 service strip. Located at the south entrance to the City of Cold Lake, this area has many gas stations, motels and restaurants.
